"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were suddenly confronted Tuesday with something far more pressing than the potential loss of cornerback Eric Wright for four games.
Already dealing with the loss of Pro Bowl right guard Davin Joseph, the team announced that fellow Pro Bowl guard Carl Nicks has also been lost for the season due to a left toe injury.
The team also announced that it has lost tight end prospect Danny Noble to a season-ending hamstring injury. Both Nicks and Noble were placed on injured reserve.

Nicks, who will require surgery to repair a torn plantar plate in his left toe, has started all seven games with the Bucs since joining the team this season as an unrestricted free agent. He played in all 71 of his teams' games since entering the league in 2008, including 68 consecutive starts.
